Taye Diggs, born Scott Leo Diggs, is an American actor and singer.
He was born in Newark, New Jersey, on January 2, 1971.
Diggs shot to fame for his role as Benny in Jonathan Larson’s Broadway musical Rent.
He has also appeared in the Broadway productions Hedwig And The Angry Inch.
Taye has appeared in several TV shows and movies.
He is now co-artistic director of a dance company Dre.dance, with fellow former Broadway star Andrew Palermo.
