IN tonight’s episode of Ultimate Wedding Planner, we saw a young couple plan their dream airplane wedding.
In the first episode of the hot new BBC show Ultimate Wedding Planner, where aspiring planners showcase their skills at real weddings, Sammy and Lewis’ big day turned into a total nightmare for their planners.
The couple initially bonded over their shared love of planes and dreamed of transforming an industrial Concorde hangar into their perfect wedding venue.
But as seen in the episode, it wasn’t an entirely smooth ride, as there were tears, tantrums and even terrors.
Cracks started to show in the team when two outspoken and honest planners, Yasmin and Tash, were put in the same design group.
Yasmin revealed: “I struggled a bit with Tash because she just wanted to talk and it was all about her ideas and what she wanted and what she thought”.

Things then went from bad to worse when Yasmin’s hand shot up after the group was asked who wanted to lead. Tash gave her a sour look without thinking twice.
Yasmin confided to viewers: “What have I done? I’ve put myself forward for head planner on the first week… I’m not really sure why I’ve done that.”
Surely at least part of the reason for this immediate volunteering was because of the growing rivalry with Tash we saw from the beginning.
Tash chimed in with a comment on Yasmin, saying: “I’m sure she’ll tell a lot of people what to do.”

Even the show’s voiceover seems to agree, establishing: “Yasmin is used to being in charge.”
Yasmin then admitted: “I speak my mind and that gets me in trouble a lot.”
As time went on, tensions rose more and more - not only between Yasmin and Tash but also with Yasmin and the wider team.
Even friendly Chantelle remarked on Yasmin being “the scary one” right to her face.
Another planner, Jack, labelled Yasmin “frustrating” after repeatedly not being listened to.
The stress of planning proved too much for Jack and he broke down in tears on the day of the wedding.
Luckily, Yasmin was there to comfort him. She might have been the cause of some anxiety but was at least able to help with the consequences.
Reflecting on the process, First Dates star Fred Sirieix called the team a “shambles.”
Whilst another judge added: “There were far too many questions that we asked and we just saw blank faces.”
Yasmin and Tash’s clash peaked the day before the wedding when Yasmin’s non-stop bluntness became too much for Tash to bear.
She fought back, asserting: “You are never too important to be kind” and calmly asking, “Don’t be rude to me please.”
As a result, the wedding day looked like it might go seriously wrong.
Things continued in the same vein as one judge revealed he was “so disappointed” because they were running behind schedule.
Tash was left extremely upset for the young couple, as she complained: “I can’t believe this is someone’s wedding day. It’s awful.”
Later in the episode, as the big day arrived, unfortunately for the couple, things didn’t get off to the best start, as people were seen waiting outside the venue twenty minutes before the event started.
Eventually, everything turned out fine in the end.
The couple had a lovely first dance and were left very impressed with the whole event.
Sammy expressed her dream wedding had “definitely been achieved”, whilst Lewis added, “they’ve really made our day feel special.”
Thankfully, the couple had a great day and even the planning team managed to regroup by the end.

Tash acknowledged: “Working with Yasmin, we’re sure to butt heads at points because we are so passionate but really when it comes to something like this, it is about the couple.”
