COME rain or shine, choosing the right tent is the key to a great camping holiday.
The popular Quechua 2 seconds XL camping tent is a popular choice, so we've put it to the test to see if this pop-up tent really is the best budget choice.
Quechua, Decathlon's own brand, took the winner's position under 'best weekender tents' and 'best budget tents' categories in Tent Owner Satisfaction Awards.
So we've put it to the test to find out whether it's really as good as campers praise it to be.

Our test was carried out in the wildness of Glen Coe in Scotland where camping was permitted.
It claimed to pop up in a few seconds, and it wasn't lying. We found that it's incredibly easy and quick to assemble the Quechua Pop-Up Camping Tent - it took a few intuitive and easy steps.
Pitching and pegging only took a couple of minutes, even in strong Highland winds.
But if you're planning to camp somewhere less windy, you might not need pegging at all: it has been specifically designed as a free-standing structure.

The tent is very spacious: there was enough space for two adults to move around even after mattress and bags were unpacked.
Thanks to a Fresh & Black outer fabric and Ti0² coat, it's completely dark inside even in the daylight so you're protected against harmful sun rays.
It's perfect for camping novices too, as the tent came with handy disassemble instructions and easy to follow steps - making it as easy to pack away as it is to put up.
The Quechua 2 Seconds Fresh & Black Pop-Up Camping Tent is a great choice for those who don't want to splash the cash, but want a quality tent.
Believe the hype, this tent is as good as they say it is.
