THIS is the first picture of a 22-year-old man who was stabbed to death after a fight in Milton Keynes woodlands.
Mohamud Hashi suffered a fatal stab wound to his right thigh - with police since arresting five men on suspicion of murder.
The horrific fight unfolded in broad daylight in Fishermead on Wednesday.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, Mr Hashi died at the scene.
Five men who were arrested on suspicion of murder remain in custody at this time.
It comes as Britain has been battling a knife crime epidemic with fatal stabbings as deaths are at their highest level since the Second World War.
In July, it was revealed that blade attacks in England and Wales had soared to a record high with more than 43,500 offences in the previous 12 months.
Shocking figures released by the Office for National Statistics revealed an eight per cent increase.
The proportion of crimes being solved has decreased to the lowest level recorded, according to the data.
In the 12 months to the end of March, only 7.8 per cent of offences resulted in someone being charged or summonsed to appear at court.
Now, Thames Valley Police have launched a murder probe into Mr Hashi's death.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Inspector Sally Spencer of Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit, said: “We continue to carry out a thorough investigation in relation to this incident.
"We have arrested a number of men in connection with the death of Mr Hashi and five remain in custody.
"We continue to support Mr Hashi’s family at this very difficult time.
"I would like to make a fresh appeal for witnesses to come forward, if you have any information that you feel may be relevant then please do get in touch."
