A MUM has caused a stir online after claiming that her daughter’s legs were duct-taped at school because she was wearing ripped jeans.

Shanah Drummond’s teenage daughter had rips on the thighs of her jeans, which she shared the school deemed inappropriate.

Teachers allegedly went on to cover her exposed skin with duct tape before she called her mum asking for help.

Shanah shared her experience on TikTok - including what her daughter’s legs looked like and how she dealt with the issue at the school.

The angry mum recorded herself walking into the school and can be heard asking her daughter, “who was it?”

Challenging a member of staff behind a plastic screen, she continued: “Did you think it was acceptable to put duct tape on my daughter’s skin?”

“The cheerleader uniforms are shorter than this.

“She was humiliated and had to hide it by tying her coat around the front of her.

“My daughter has eczema and sensitive skin and if she didn't text us, she would've sat all day with duct tape irritating her legs.”

Support flooded in under the video, which has raked in almost four million views.

One person weighed in: “Dress code or not, you call the parents and tell them to bring a change of clothes.

“You don’t put tape on someone’s child!”

Another quipped: “Our schools provide ugly sweatpants if they break dress code or they call parents.

“It's not hard. They don't have the right to do this. I'm sorry mama.”
