Emmerdale's Claire King admits she's going to retire from acting after she's done playing Kim Tate
EMMERDALE actress Claire King has revealed she is planning to retire once she's done playing Kim Tate.
The actress - who has played Kim since 1989 on and off - said she returned to the soap in 2018 intending for it to be a retirement job.
However, she's been so busy her plan has backfired.
She told The Sun on Sunday: “I’ve been fortunate to come back to Emmerdale.
“My return to the show was meant to be a nice little retirement job for me.

COPS in Brighton have arrested a teen on suspicion of murder after a 17-year-old was stabbed to death.
The horror murder took place at around 5pm yesterday on the busy main street in Brighton city-centre. The 17-year-old was taken to hospital by the ambulance service, where he was sadly pronounced dead.
His next of kin have been informed.
