KYLIE MINOGUE and Jason Donovan were the most iconic Aussie duo of the Eighties – but their relationship appears to be going Down Under.
Pals of Kylie’s fear that things will become strained between the Neighbours co-stars and former lovers, who split in 1988, after Jason made a series of gags at the expense of the pop princess.
On his Amazing Midlife Crisis UK Tour, Jason — who was Neighbours’ Scott Robinson to Kylie’s Charlene Mitchell — recounted tales of his sex life with Kylie and his struggle to get her to sing with him.
A source told us: “As well as singing some of his most famous songs, Jason also shares with the audience stories about his career.
“When asked whether there was a lot of Jason in the character of Scott Robinson, he cheekily replied that there was certainly a lot of Scott in Charlene.”
And despite an impromptu performance of their 1988 hit, Especially For You, for Kylie’s headline slot at Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park last month, Jason said that she “hogged” the microphone.
The source added: “He told a tale about how he tried to get Kylie to join him on stage at London’s Hammersmith Apollo and attempted to contact her.
"His emails bounced back, his WhatsApp messages were ignored and he couldn’t reach her on Instagram.
“Then he was in the audience at Hyde Park last month and Kylie’s manager asked him on stage at the last minute, so it wasn’t pre-planned.
"He said that’s why he didn’t sing during the track and talked about Kylie hogging the mic.
“The stories have started filtering back to Kylie through her friends — and her close circle don’t think she will be best pleased.
"It’s always disappointing to hear someone is making jokes at your expense.
“As far as Kylie is concerned, Jason is a great guy and she respects him, she’s just a busy lady.”
Last night, a rep for Kylie declined to make a comment.
On Friday night, Kylie took to the stage for her third sold-out show at London’s O2 Arena — and opted to sing Especially For You by herself.
Perhaps Jason was busy writing more emails.
Kim gets dolled up
TEENY-tiny dress? Check. All in pink? Check. Minuscule waist? Check. Long, flowing locks? Check. Expressionless face? Check.
It seems Kim Kardashian's apparent mission to transform herself into a life-size Barbie doll is almost complete.
The reality TV star stepped out wearing this fuchsia bodycon while out in New York on Friday – and all she seemed to be missing is being, ahem, plastic fantastic.
Earlier, Kim had been snapped in a dollar-bill print trench coat and boots, but rather carrying her wealth in her handbag she’ll no doubt have flexed her credit card.
Maybe Kim has that part covered after all...
Lee's Strictly teetotal
LEE RYAN has ditched the booze in a bid to win Strictly.
The Blue star was notorious for his wild lifestyle in the noughties and drank a bottle of whisky every night after being made bankrupt in 2013.
The following year he was arrested for drink-driving.
But now the singer has decided to go teetotal to give him and pro partner Nadiya Bychkova , the best possible chance.
He told us: “I’ve stopped drinking and stopped going out during Strictly, I’m really looking after myself at the moment.
It’s for my own benefit but also for this show – I really want to do well.”
Hopefully he gets to pimp his celebratory OJ with some premium lemonade.
Bella's crop shortage
IF anyone can spark a new trend then usually it’s Bella Hadid – but, unless an Indian summer coincides with a mass breakage of air conditioners, we doubt the extreme underboob look will catch on in Britain just yet.
The model was promoting denim label Feel Studio.
She also chose a crop top and denim for a date on Friday in New York with The Weekend, after confirming they are back together.
It’s clearly a look she can stomach.
Howard a group extra
PREPARE yourselves for one of the most random supergroups ever.
The bonkers line-up will see TV presenter Ulrika Jonsson team up with Howard Brown who made his name appearing in Halifax’s adverts. Yes, really.
They have been grouped together for next month’s Stand Up To Cancer fundraiser in a Channel 4 mockumentary called The Big C List.
We can reveal that X Factor’s San Bailey Sam Bailey and Wagner, Love Island’s Eyal Booker, and Marcel Somerville, Nineties girlband B*Witched, Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing and The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air actress Karyn Parsons also form part of the gang.
The Sun previously reported that the film would see Alan Carr putting together the spoof group in his bid to launch a fundraising track to rival Band Aid’s festive No1 Do They Know It’s Christmas?
However, the comic dropped out due to other commitments and will be replaced by Davina McCall.
A source said: “The song will be very tongue-in-cheek.”
We’re just gutted that Gina G hasn’t been dug out of retirement.
Robbie's X-tremely wealthy
THE size of Robbie Williams' family isn’t the only thing that’s expanding – fortunately his bank balance is as well, after he earned a staggering £41,000 per day last year.
New accounts for the dad-of-three – who welcomed baby daughter Coco via a surrogate earlier this month – show that his live music company, You’re Not Famous Anymore, reported a £15.1million profit after he took his Heavy Entertainment tour across the globe.
After selling out the majority of his 48-date series, the impressive figures are the equivalent of him making £315,000 per gig.
In contrast, wife Ayda Field’s firm Gentle Mental is shown to be £32,000 in the red.
But thanks to the couple’s new prime-time gig on The X Factor, their bank account is set to look just as healthy next year.
The pair, left, are rumoured to have pocketed £10million to sign on the dotted line as judges on SIMON COWELL’s show.
And that will keep the couple well-stocked with nappies for some time to come.
Chris pulls a Vass one
CHRIS EVANS is set to be joined by trusted sidekick Vassos Alexander when he takes over as host of Virgin Radio’s breakfast show early next year.
Vassos is best-known for reading the sports news on Chris’ Radio 2 programme.
When Chris was forced to pull out of his show in May following the death of mum Minnie, Vassos stepped in as his last-minute replacement.
Now we hear that Chris, above, has recruited his pal for his new show.
A source said: “Chris is really keen to get the best team.
“He has a great bond with Vassos and knows that he’s a favourite with listeners, too.”
Earlier this month, Chris announced his return to Virgin Radio after 20 years. He leaves Radio 2 in December.
Craig's £6m chill zone
CRAIG DAVID has splashed out £6million on a very impressive pad – in which handily he can chill on a Sunday.
The Seven Days singer has bought a five-bedroom converted warehouse in North London that has a glass-walled swimming pool with a retractable roof.
Craig, below, even managed to snip £500,000 off the asking price for the home, which has six bathrooms and two “spectacular” double-height reception rooms.
The property with an open-plan kitchen and a sun terrace, is a far cry from the Southampton housing estate where Craig grew up.
It’s a timely buy, too.
Craig said last year that he’d like to settle down and have children.
At least now he’ll be able to show off a des-res back- ground on his Tinder profile pic.

Taylor's fave
TAYLOR SWIFT played the supportive girlfriend from afar at the premiere of Joe Alwyn's new movie The Favourite at the New York Film Festival.
The British actor and the US superstar have avoided being snapped together in public since they started dating in autumn 2016.
And it was no different on Friday night as Taylor snuck in through the back door instead of walking down the red carpet.
Joe was left to pose with fellow Brit Nicholas Hoult, who has dated US A-lister Jennifer Lawrence.
Let’s hope he gave Joe some tips on dating a megastar.
