A MAN who loves life on the road in his converted van has an ingenious way of showering - and saving space.

Joey, known as Joey The Nomad, made the bold move to leave his home behind and embark on his journey around North America in 'Vangelina Jolie'.

The 27-year-old, from the Greater Boston area, decided a nine to five office job in the engineering industry wasn't for him.

Now, he travels whenever and wherever he wishes in his converted cargo van - while working remotely when it suits.

In his blog, he penned: "My goal is to inspire people to get out of their own neighborhood and see the world, and show them that you don’t need to have a million dollars saved up to do it, all you need is the willingness to try and a little resourcefulness."

The resourceful traveller is always bombarded with questions about daily life in the van.

Many baffled followers ask how he does simple things such as shower.

"There's a lot of cool things you can do in a van conversion but I've never seen anyone use a designed like mine," he explained in a TikTok video.

"For my shower I built into a cabinet, and I have storage on the backside of each door as well as a wardrobe a full hanging mirror here.

"And then a toilet that comes out.

"To take out the toilet, it's portable so you just lift it out, and then to shower I have this other sliding door which keeps all the water in the shower and not in the van.

"By having clothes and storage attached to the door that means this isn't just a wasted space - I can have my shower without sacrificing storage."

The van life pro also explained he will take advantage of showers at his gym after working out.

This comes as thousands of people are making the same lifestyle change and switching to life on the road.

A couple who were fed up with the rat race of their "mundane" lives decided to pack up and jump into vanlife.

Dave and Emily felt disillusioned with the monotonous routine of waking up early, stressing about work, and skyrocketing bills.

After lockdown in 2021 forced them to be together more, the fed-up pair realised just how much time they spent stressed and apart before - despite living under the same roof.

They made the brave decision to stick their house on the market and buy a minivan they named Mavis.

Plus, a man who made the bold move said he loves the freedom of going off-grid - and escaping the cost of living crisis.

Paul, aka, The Off Grid Nomad, was fed up being left with just £100 to play with at the end of every month amid soaring bills.

The proud "lorry life" community member now travels across the British countryside in his ex-military converted truck.

Meanwhile, another couple converted an old van into their dream tiny home on wheels.
